Project 2025
Project 2025 is a comprehensive right-wing policy blueprint developed to reshape the federal government, consolidate presidential power, and implement an ultra-conservative agenda. Key proposals include:
- Replacing nonpartisan civil servants with political loyalists and putting all federal agencies under direct presidential control.Eliminating or drastically overhauling agencies like the Department of Education and reducing the independence of others, such as the Department of Justice and National Institutes of Health (NIH).
- Cutting or restructuring major social programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, and food assistance, and reducing environmental and civil rights protections.
- Restricting abortion access nationwide, rolling back protections for LGBTQ+ individuals, and ending diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Proposing stricter eligibility and reduced benefits for future veterans’ disability claims, as well as potential cuts to VA health care and jobs.
- Enacting policies to increase deportations, limit asylum, and use the military for domestic law enforcement.
- If enacted, Project 2025 would mark a sweeping shift in U.S. governance, civil rights, and social policy, moving significant power to the executive branch and away from traditional checks and balances.
